A Day Out on the Town & I'm Going To Be Out of Town

So I am leaving town for the rest of the week headed for Seattle for my 21st birthday and the Seattle Tattoo Expo! Then on to Portland for my birthday celebration. So keep up the awesome blogs while I'm gone!

Here is an outfit I wore last week downtown at the park I love simplicity (and black haha!). I  know I wear my Ray Bans all of the time- they are my favorite pair of sunglasses and I have had them forever!

Im not dead I swear!

So as you may have noticed I took a long and unexpected leave of absence from MLL. It was a well needed timeout where I had to take care of myself. As you can also tell I have discontinued my summer posts as I have found it to be turning into quite the monster- I would rather focus my blogging on inspiring and more well polished posts instead. Quality over quantity.

During my vacation from blogging I have had a few meltdowns, some birthdays and two camping trips. Not to mention antiquing and A LOT of outfits! Luckily I never stopped taking pictures so I will have some things to share with you all.

I WILL be posting more often from now on- my break was refreshing. And also reading all of your lovely blogs! So thank you to those who continue to read, comment, and follow!

Here is one of my casual outfits on a hot day last week featuring my favorite shorts I mentioned a while ago!

The ring I was wearing if you don't recognize it is Kat Von D's solid perfume ring with her fragrance Saint and Sinner. Its Fracking HUGE! I love all of Kat Von D's products. I use the tattoo liner to do dramatic and precise cat eyes that don't smudge or crackle like some liquid eyeliners. I also love her eyeshadow and of course my signature fragrance Sinner!

Summer Day 34: Today is all about..

Its been weird lately. I feel like I need to be out of my own skin. I feel like I am stuck in a routine. Fading I guess- maybe I need something new. Maybe I need a day off of work. :\

Summer Day 31: SinisterPDX

I think I have an ear infection.

My ear hurts.

My Boy is so crafty and adorable. He loves making steampunk guns and toying around with metal-working. 

 This is his first completed gun which is for sale now on Etsy. He makes pretty much everything with recycled and re-purposed materials.

This is a really neat pendant he recently made out of scrap. We are such a crafty little pair! Its great living in an household where we can motivate each other to be creative.

Summer Day 29: SQUEE

omgomg. So while I DID plan on blogging yesterday and took pictures, life ensued and I was not able to post. SO here I am today, telling you about yesterday!

Yesterday I spent a day out around town going to shops and parks. I love little college towns.

Do you like the town you live in? While I don't like Corvallis per-se, I do appreciate its small town charm.

Summer Day 28: My favorite crafts

Today I thought I would share a few of my favorite crafting items as I venture along on a new hair clip!

felt. I love felt and always keep lots on-hand.

 kid's scissors and floss. I use kid's scissors for my smaller crafts- they are so sharp and precise.

Floss is great as I am teaching myself to embroider!

martha stewart glitter. I LOVE ALL of Martha Stewart's glitter, tinsel and "microbeads". Such great textures and colors!

mod podge. While I hate the smell, it is good for lots of things!

I will update this post with my hairpiece when it is all finished!

Summer Day 24: HP VII PART II

Just a quick post before I am off to the midnight viewing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2! I have cried throughout the day thinking about how the end of my childhood is officially over. Literally tears running down my face! Anyways here are some quick (and poor quality :( ) pix we just took! Boy is Dumbledore and I am a deathearter!!!!

Summer Day 23: Heartland Humane Society

Today the Boy and I went to a volunteer orientation at our local humane society. We are both huge animal lovers and decided this would be a great way to spend the summer.

Summer Day 22: Habitat for Humanity ReStore

Today the Boy and I dinked around town, went in search of an elusive water tower, went out to lunch and treasure hunting at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Its a place where the public can buy used and surplus parts, tools, appliances and building materials, and it is quite fun for those of us who like to craft!
